The Farne Islands, off the coast of North Northumberland, is home to a colony of Grey Seals that number between 4 and 5 thosand. The seals can be observed on many of the islands, basking and sleeping, with boats full of visitors taking photos and watching them.
If your serious about viewing these beautiful creatures however, the only way to do it is underwater, and hundreds of divers flock the the Farne Islands each year to dive with the seals and interact with them.
The photographs below were taken by Adam Hanlon, and have been used on this website with his kind permission. Please visit his website for more amazing underwater images, and to find out more... http://www.adamhanlon.com/
